Vote Cox’s Bazaar and ShundorBon.

Hope you all know that the list of “New 7 wonders of the world” has been declared. Many of us voted his/her choices in the website as we all have been listening about the Great 7 wonders of the world since our childhood. The “New 7 wonder foundation” has started another campaign, named “New 7 wonders of Nature”. Can’t we all try to nominate something from our own, this time?
May be we dont have something like Great Wall or Taazmohol…but this time, we have our own assets…”Cox’s Bazaar” and “Shundor Bon” and may be “Raangamaati”or “St. Martin’s Island”. Can’t we spend few minutes from our valuable time to nominate these greatest natural sites from our own Bangladesh? I’ve already nominated the following sites of Bangladesh for “The Seven Natural Wonders” with the spelling and category written below. Pls maintain the same spelling for the rest of nomination.
SITE CATEGORY COUNTRY
Cox’s Bazaar Coastline Bangladesh
Shundor Bon Forest Bangladesh
For nomination please visit the site of New 7 wonder foundation.
Please, convey this msg to others so that more and more nomination from Bangladesh can be posted. Please use the campaign poster in your blog or website. So that more people can participate.
About Cox’s Bazaar:
Cox’s Bazar is the world’s longest natural sandy sea beaches (120 km) including mud flats. It is located 150 km south of Chittagong. Cox’s Bazar is also known by the name “Panowa”, the literal translation of which means “yellow flower”. Its other old name was “Palongkee”. The modern Cox’s Bazar derives its name from Captain Cox (died 1798), an army officer serving in British India. It is also one of the fishing ports of Bangladesh. Often termed as “World’s longest sandy sea beach”, Cox’s Bazar is a major tourist destination in Asia due to picturesque natural beauty.
Cox’s Bazar, mostly famous for its beautiful sea beach and the sunset, has several other attractions, including:
Aggmeda Khyang: a large Buddhist monastery, and a place revered by around 400,000 Buddhist people of Cox’s Bazar; and the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
Himchari: an extraordinary picnic spot and famous for its waterfalls and provid sufficient security for the tourists. Road to Himchari run by the open sea in one side and hills in others make the journey to Himchari a path of Heaven.
Inani: 32 km south of Cox’s Bazar having natural corals on the beach.
Laboni Beach: the main beach of Cox’s Bazar and is considered the main beach due to the fact that it is closest to the town.
Maheskhali: a small island, offers panoramic scenic beauty and is covered by low hills and mangrove forests. Adinath, a temple of Shiva, and a Buddhist pagoda are also located on the island.
Ramu: about 16 km from Cox’s Bazar, is a village with sizeable Buddhist population. The village is famous for its handicrafts and homemade cigars.
Sonadia Island: a small island of only 9 square kilometers.
Teknaf: a place situated by the side of Naaf river is the southernmost part of Bangladesh. The place is home to several birds and wild animals.
About ShundorBon:

The ShundorBon is the world’s largest mangrove forest with swampy habitat of varying salinity, mangrove composition, large predators on land and in water and hundreds of other flora and fauna. Majestic tiger, charming deer, enormous crocodiles, sneaky monkeys, numerous species of birds and disparate vegetation have made this diversity rare in the world. With these flourishing and endangered species, the ShundorBon is indeed a Treasure island of biodiversity. This magical mangrove forest is situated along the South-Western coastline of the Bay of Bengal.

The ShundorBon is the home of the Royal Bengal Tiger, one of the most graceful and rare species animals on earth . The Bengal Tiger inhabits in the grasslands, swamps and forests, where it is well camouflaged by its striped coat varying from saffron red to washed brown. They are the National Animal of Bangladesh.

The most exquisite is the Chital Deer, which inhabits mostly in the southern sea -facing meadows. The elusive Barking deer is characterized by its dog-like barking.

its like comparing a world v a world. cox bazzar v the worlds wonders. it’s Subsequently so wonderfull for me to see a place in the world with so much natural beuties and still be so under rated. this is basically a animal kingdom the sunderbans. why cant this majestic forest compete with the other magical destinations. Existence stretches all over the lush green forests. the eycosystem contains so many endangered animals such as the last few royal bengal tigers and chitals. if there is life such as this then i still dont rest my case. this is a place where mankind still hasn’t really heard of. but surely it’s a magical place to vacation. in 4 words its the land of wonders

Thanks Tanim via for posting such unbelievable beautiful sceneries’ picture with the post. It may encourage people to vote.
But I have not yet voted for them! Because I think, voting is too difficult. Sign up required which is felt uneasy to me.
Anyways, keep encouraging people & make Bangladesh’s two most beautiful place the winner.

Few weeks back I voted for Cox’s Bazaar and Shundor Bon and was happy to see these names in the top two positions. Today I just came to know that they have been dropped down to 4th and 5th positions.
